Shipping – General
Domestic (USA – Lower 48 States):
Shipping costs are determined by weight, box size and location. Shipping costs may vary for larger orders.
All items are handcrafted and generally made to order, making the average time for shipping two to three weeks from order date. If in stock, it will generally ship 24hrs after ordered. You will receive a PAYPAL receipt with transaction ID number via email confirming credit card authorization & order details. Please use Paypal Transaction ID number when referencing your order. John&Mary is not responsible for service transit time. Transit times are provided by the carrier (USPS or UPS) and may vary with package origin and destination, particularly during peak periods. All orders are shipped via UPS or USPS. All shipping costs are determined by the weight of the items purchased, the method of shipping chosen and the destination address. International Shipping – Duties and Fees
Yes, We do ship world wide, please email us at: [email protected] if you would like to ship outside the United States.
Please note that customers are responsible for all international custom and duty fees that may apply. These are in addition to, and not included in, the cost of shipping. As a business we are obligated to declare all items as merchandise. We are not able to mark items as “gift”.
Shipping – Notifications
When domestic shipping labels are prepared online and printed, customers will receive notification via email from either the USPS or UPS, depending on the shipping method selected. You will receive an email with Tracking information the same day your order ships, please check your Spam/Junk mail folder. This email will include your Delivery Confirmation Number (if USPS) or Tracking Number (if UPS). Please note that the USPS Delivery Confirmation service is not an actual Tracking number, but rather simply shows when the label was printed and when the item was delivered at its final destination. We therefore strongly urge all customers to carefully consider their shipping option in relation to the final destination. UPS with signature confirmation is strongly recommended for larger, urban areas.
Shipping – Transit & Insurance
Once an order is given to a shipping carrier, the package then becomes that carrier’s responsibility and John&Mary is no longer liable. All orders shipped via UPS automatically include up to $100 insurance. If you would like to include insurance on a USPS order, please contact us directly.
Shipping – Incorrect / Insufficient / Misdirected Address / Order Cancellation
If you mistakenly provided us with an incorrect or insufficient address or would like to cancel your order (CANCELATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHIN 48HRS OF PURCHASE ONLY DUE TO MOST BAGS BEING MADE TO ORDER. STORE CREDIT WILL BE ISSUED AFTER 48HRS THE ORDER WAS PLACED.), please contact us immediately with the corrected information. If your order has not yet shipped, we will correct it immediately with no problem. if your order has already been shipped via USPS, we must wait until delivery is attempted and then returned back to us before we can change the address or provide you with a refund – please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable and additional shipping charges will incur for reshipment. If your order has already been shipped via UPS, we can contact the carrier to reroute to the correct address – please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable and additional charges will incur for rerouting. In the case where a package is refused and shipped back to us, customers will be responsible for the original shipping charges
John&Mary respects your privacy and will never sell, loan, rent, trade or give away any personal information that you offer during your visit. Ever, Period. Personal information provided is only to be used for the services requested, such as processing an order and shipping your package to your address.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover as forms of credit card payment and Paypal. All Transactions are handled through our Paypal merchant services account.
Credit Card Security
John&Mary’s via Paypal secured socket layer (ssl) uses the latest, industry-standard 256-bit encryption technology to ensure that your personal information (especially your name, address and credit card number) stays out of the wrong hands, and cannot be read or intercepted as it travels to our payment processing system. Look for the https:// in the address bar of your browser when you checkout – the ‘s’ stands for ‘secure’. Our security certificate can be viewed by double-clicking the little padlock icon at the bottom of your browser window.
If you do not feel comfortable with using your credit card online, you can call us at 424-243-5772 or email us at [email protected] with your order information, your address and phone number where you can be reached. We will then call you for your credit card information.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are gladly accepted within 15 days for webstore credit or exchange. Order Cancelation must be made within 24hrs from the time order was placed, otherwise the order will have gone to production and only an exchange or store credit can be issued. We do not provide refunds or cash back as every bag is generally handmade to order. Please make sure to inspect and if needed send back your order within the 15 day period – as any claims cannot be made thereafter. Please note that sale items or items purchased using a discount code are issued an exchange or store credit only. All returned items must be returned in original, sealable and unused condition with the original packing materials. Please make sure that items are well packed (additional packaging may be necessary) and insured for the full amount. A restocking fee may apply to any order not received in good condition. Shipping cost are non-refundable and all costs for return shipment are the responsibility of the customer.
To make a return or exchange, you will need a Return Merchandise Authorization number. To obtain this, please email us at [email protected] and include your order number and a list of the item(s) you are returning in the body of the message. We’ll then reply back with your RMA #, which you’ll need to include in the address field of your package. This RMA # is very important to ensure proper tracking and handling of returned goods. Do not return any product(s) until you have received an RMA #.

Upon receipt of the shipment, John&Mary will contact you by email to confirm your store/website credit. Please reference your RMA number when calling to check on the status of your return.
All returns are at our discretion. We have the right to deny credit if the merchandise returned does not meet our return policy requirements.
Please email us to redeem your store credit. Store credit is good for 6 months from date approved via email by John & Mary. If you have any questions, please contact us prior to the 6 months credit ending. No credit will be issued after the 6 months have expired. Customers responsibility to redeem credit for returned items.
Leather is a natural product, some cosmetic blemishes, variations, and changes in color should be expected.
Please inspect your purchase as soon as it arrives. Damage claims on shipped items must be made within 48 hours of package arrival. No claims can be made after 48 hours. If for some reason there is damage or defect to your item, please notify us immediately. Call 424-243-5772 or email [email protected] for a return authorization on damaged items. Damages will be returned at our discretion. We have the right to deny credit if the merchandise returned does not meet our return policy requirements.
We collect 9.75% California sales tax on all orders shipped to addresses in California. Residents in other states are responsible for complying with local state tax laws.
Out Of Stock
While we do our best to keep all items on our website in stock, there may be instances when an item you order may not be available.
A few of the items on the website always need to be special ordered because we don’t keep them in stock. In those cases, the lead time is indicated on the product information page.
